It is with a mix of gratitude and fondness that we announce the retirement of our much-loved caretaker and warden of the car parks, David Turner. After an incredible 23 years of dedicated service, David has officially hung up his brightly coloured high-vis jacket — a familiar sight to many as he made his rounds across the site.
David has already begun embracing the quieter pace of retirement alongside his wife, Diane.
On behalf of all staff and volunteers, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to David for his tireless commitment, cheerful presence, and unwavering willingness to lend a hand — whether or not it was part of his job. Of course, a slice of cake or a cup of tea in return was always a welcome bonus!
David, you will be greatly missed, and we wish you all the very best in this well-earned next chapter.
