The sun shone bright as more than 50 parishioners from St John’s Cathedral joined the Diocesan Children’s Pilgrimage to Walsingham on Tuesday 26th May 2026. We had a wonderful time walking the Holy Mile with our children, youth and parents taking on an active role with the strewing of flower petals and bearing the statue of Our Lady along the Pilgrim’s Way.

Pilgrims on the Holy Mile

Bishop Peter celebrated Mass with us at the Basilica and reminded us that we have to be agents of the Holy Spirit in the world spreading the Gospel message.  After mass we went to Wells Beach for some fun in the sun.  As it was such a hot day, some of the children enjoyed a paddle in the sea!

Thank you to all our pilgrims for joining us this year – your participation made it extra special.
