Headline of the week: Cardinal Vincent Nichols has criticised the government for a deeply irresponsible rush on assisted dying. Parliament: As it makes its way through Committee, there are increasing concerns about the lack of safeguards and inadequacies of the Terminally Ill Adults End of Life Bill.

Catholic Union Event: ‘Hard Cases Don’t Make Good Law’. The Catholic Union is holding a webinar on the Bill on Thursday 3 April. Entitled ‘Hard Cases Don’t Make Good Law’ it will be chaired by Baroness Hollins, President of the Catholic Union. The webinar will give members and supporters the chance to unpick the Bill with the help of three experts: Dr Matthew Doré; Dr Philip Howard and Professor Julian Hughes.
