St John’s Justice and Peace group invite everyone to join them for a talk on this scourge of the modern world and learn; what it is, how to spot it, and, what to do about it.

Mark Little MBE: Mark has been involved in setting up international humanitarian service projects in developing countries for three decades. Since 2001 he has been active in supporting many anti-slavery organizations, visiting rehabilitation centres and safe houses in India and other countries and initiating numerous antislavery projects both at home and abroad. He has spoken on the issue of Modern Slavery to many Rotary Clubs and other organizations both at home and abroad and has organised many anti-slavery conferences in the UK and in countries such as South Korea, Canada, USA and Australia. In January 2022, Mark received the MBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List, the citation being for his “Services to victims of Modern Day Slavery”.

Simon John: is a retired solicitor, with a certificate in human rights law from Bristol University. He is the immediate past secretary of the
Rotary action group against Slavery and with Mark the co-lead of the Diocesan initiative against Modern Slavery. He speaks regularly on
radio MARIA.
